Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Be My Best Man (the "Service") and your purchase of a reveal page. By using the Service or buying a page, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Cookie Notice.

1. Who we are

Be My Best Man is operated by Jamie Meredith, a sole trader trading as "Be My Best Man" ("we", "us", "our").

We are the trader for the purposes of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2. What the Service does

The Service lets you create a personalised digital "ask" page (for example, asking someone to be your best man). You enter names, upload photos, choose the ask and add an optional message. After payment, we generate a short, shareable link to your reveal page, which you can send to the recipient.

The page is digital content. No physical product is supplied.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to buy from us. By buying a page you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Orders and the contract

  1. You build your page, then pay a one-off fee through our payment provider (Stripe).
  2. No shareable link exists until payment is confirmed. The link is generated only after Stripe confirms your payment.
  3. A binding contract forms when we confirm your payment and generate your link. We also email the link to you as a backup.
  4. If payment fails, no contract forms and no link is created. We retain the details you entered so you can try again.

5. Price and payment

  1. The price of a page is shown before you pay, in pounds sterling (GBP), and includes any applicable VAT.
  2. Payment is taken in full at the time of purchase.
  3. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Delivery of digital content and your cancellation rights

  1. Because the page is digital content delivered immediately, you will be asked to consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel once the link is generated.
  2. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Your content and responsibilities

When you create a page you provide names, photos and an optional message ("Your Content"). You agree that:

  1. You own Your Content or have permission to use it, including permission from anyone who appears in or is named in it.
  2. Your Content is lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights, breach privacy, or contain anything obscene, abusive, hateful, harassing or otherwise objectionable.
  3. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, including names, spelling and the recipient's link being shared with the right person.

You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We may remove any content that we reasonably believe breaches these terms.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, disrupting the Service, scraping, reverse-engineering, or using it to send unlawful, deceptive or harmful material. Links are intended for the personal, non-commercial purpose of making an ask.

9. Our intellectual property

We own the Service, including its design, templates, code, animations and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you. You receive only the right to access and use your own page as set out here.

10. Availability and retention

We aim to keep the Service and your reveal link available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Reveal pages and uploaded content are automatically deleted 90 days after creation. Save anything you want to keep before then. We may also suspend or withdraw the Service, or change features, for maintenance, legal or operational reasons. If we discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice where practical.

11. Our liability

  1. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
  2. We provide the Service to you as a consumer for personal use. We are not liable for business losses.
  3. We are not liable for loss caused by you sharing your link with the wrong person, errors in the details you entered, or the recipient's device, browser or connection.
  4. Subject to paragraph 1, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the Service or a page is limited to the amount you paid for that page.
  5. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in force when you bought your page. We will post the current version on this page with an updated date.

13. Ending these terms

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
